MHA accepted as a member of the UN Global Compact Network

19 July, 2024

Baker Tilly network member MHA has been accepted as a member of the UN Global Compact Network (UNGCN), the world’s largest sustainability initiative.

MHA has devised an operationally-aligned internal environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework that embeds the UNGCN’s 10 principles of social and environmental sustainability. This will enable the firm to measure their ESG impact effectively with the UNGCN’s annual Communication on Progress report, which holds them accountable to global frameworks.

Speaking on their membership, Mark Lumsdon Taylor, Partner and Head of Sustainability and ESG at MHA, said: "As a new member of UNGCN we were enthused by the feedback we received from our SDG Pioneer application and along with our membership, this will only inspire us to continue to further develop our ESG ambitions for the firm. We are committed to leading with ambition with our bold goals to shape a socially responsible and sustainable future."

Francesca Lagerberg, Baker Tilly International CEO, added: “At Baker Tilly, our commitment to ESG goes beyond advising clients on sustainable business practices. It begins within our own firms, where we set high standards and take personal responsibility for delivering quality. MHA’s membership in the UNGCN exemplifies their dedication to sustainability and their broader ESG strategy.”

This membership takes MHA to yet another level of sustainability commitment after they joined the UN Race to Zero campaign in 2021.

''We are committed to leading with ambition with our bold goals to shape a socially responsible and sustainable future.''
