Baker Tilly International announces that leading Norwegian law firm Ræder Bing advokatfirma AS has joined the Baker Tilly network with immediate effect.
Ræder Bing is a top 20 Norwegian law firm with over 100 staff, including 36 partners, headquartered in Oslo. Latest reported revenue figures show growth of over 25% to $18m. Ræder Bing will continue to use its current legal name and brand, and work alongside the existing audit and accountancy practice in Norway.
Ræder Bing is the result of the October 2023 merger of law firms Advokatfirmaet Ræder and Bing Hodneland advokatselskap. The firm can trace its origins back to 1877, making it one of the oldest law firms in Norway.
Ranked by both Chambers and the Legal 500, the firm specialises in banking and finance, capital markets, corporate and M&A, competition, employment, intellectual property rights, real estate, shipping, marine and transport, retail and tax. It has the largest media and entertainment legal team in the Nordics.
Alf Kåre Knudsen, chairman of Ræder Bing, said: “Ræder Bing has the qualities and provides the services of a large firm, with the personal touch of a smaller firm. It works closely with clients and provides customised interdisciplinary advice based on solid legal expertise and a sound business understanding. For those reasons, we believe we are a perfect fit for the Baker Tilly network, and we look forward to working with our fellow members in Europe and further afield.”
“The welcome addition of Ræder Bing to the Baker Tilly family is the latest development in our ambitious plans to have world-class legal representation in every key international market across the network. Our global headcount now exceeds 1,200 and our revenues are at over $300m.”
Francesca Lagerberg, CEO of Baker Tilly International, said: “I am delighted to welcome our colleagues at Ræder Bing to the network. This is another example of our drive to provide the legal expertise that our clients want and need in the Nordics – and elsewhere in the world – as part of the multidisciplinary services that we are committed to offering.”
