Baker Tilly International is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Johnson as the new Head of Tax with immediate effect.
Based in Plano, Texas, Chris has been a partner at Baker Tilly US since 2006 and has 30 years of experience advising clients on federal, state and international tax matters.
In his new role reporting to Francesca Lagerberg, the CEO of Baker Tilly International, Chris will be responsible for working with regional and service line tax teams and leading tax strategy for the Baker Tilly network.
He will also be the main point of contact for various teams regarding technical, business development, knowledge sharing and learning initiatives and drive the advancement of our established global tax services line and cultivate effective cross-border communication between member firms. His responsibilities will include leading our annual Global Tax Conference.
Chris has a bachelor’s degree in finance along with an MBA in accounting from The University of Texas. His work experience includes over eight years of multi-disciplinary taxation at a very large, publicly traded, multinational motion picture theatre corporation, seven years in the Big 4, as well as sixteen years in service as a tax partner in public accounting.
