Barry Melancon to join Baker Tilly (US) in advisory role and Baker Tilly International Board of Directors

Baker Tilly (US), a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, together with Baker Tilly International, a global network of independent accounting and advisory firms, proudly announces the appointment of Barry Melancon, CPA, CGMA, to two influential roles: adviser to Baker Tilly (US) and non-executive director and chair-elect of the Baker Tilly International board of directors, effective January 29.

Melancon’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Baker Tilly and the accounting profession at large. A transformative figure, Melancon’s leadership spans nearly three decades as CEO of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA). Under his guidance, the AICPA and CIMA evolved into the world’s largest accounting membership organisation, driving advancements in technology, global advocacy and professional education.
