Baker Tilly strengthens position in Latin America

2 February, 2022

Baker Tilly International has expanded its footprint in Latin America by adding GCF Consultores in Costa Rica to its network. The firm has commenced trading as Baker Tilly with immediate effect.

Led by a team of partners with more than 15 years’ experience, the firm provides accounting, finance, audit, tax and legal advice from its San Jose office, and has ambitions to further develop these and grow into new service lines to meet the changing needs of clients.

Speaking on the development, Gonzalo Hordeňana, the network’s Regional Chairman, Latin America said: “At Baker Tilly, we are committed to helping our clients grow and prosper, whether that is locally, nationally or internationally. Costa Rica continues to attract one of the highest levels of foreign direct investment per capita in Latin America. By welcoming GCF Consultores we further strengthen our coverage and key capabilities across the region.

“The firm’s ambitious growth plans and their commitment to delivering high-quality professional services makes them a great fit for our network.”

GCF Consultores Managing Partner, Alberto Porras Rojas said: “We are delighted to be part of the Baker Tilly network. Being part of a globally recognised brand and the international relationships, capabilities and support that brings, will allow us to continue to evolve and meet the increasingly complex demands of our clients, both now and tomorrow.”
