Baker Tilly announces new chair for APAC

Andrew Heng, Group Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia has been appointed as Chair of Baker Tilly in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with immediate effect. He is the first Malaysian to hold this role.

The region accounts for US$970m in revenue, growing more than 16% in the last financial year, and has 15,000 people across 22 territories.

Andrew has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manchester in the UK and he is a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from the University of Western Australia. Andrew holds formal accounting qualifications in Malaysia and Singapore and is also a fellow of accounting bodies in Australia, Cambodia and New Zealand as well being a qualified Insolvency Practitioner and Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia. He was also a Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
